SMMEs and ultra-high-net-worth individuals often get exploited in marketing spend, just in different ways: one overpays for generic services, the other gets sold a one-size-fits-all strategy that doesn’t fit at all. Prenessa replaces both with hyper-contextualised marketing built specifically for the organisation in front of her.
She’s a Fractional CMO with 10 to 15 years of experience across North America, EMEA and Australasia, working with organisations from new launches through to businesses turning over roughly R1 billion annually. Her work spans marketing audits and strategy, establishing fractional and hybrid marketing operations, and BPO ranging from marketing through to financial reporting, applied across logistics, agritech, fintech, SaaS, fine art and luxury goods, FMCG, education and manufacturing, among others. She’s a member of Fractionals United, the Umhlanga Women’s Association, and The Resource, and led her fractional agency, Perana Viosa, into the top 10th percentile among 270 South African female-owned businesses in the 2023 Women in Africa JAMII Femmes programme. She was also nominated for Founder of the Year at the 2024 Big 4 She Awards.
Client confidentiality is central to how she works. Her named engagements stay private under contract, though her unnamed work includes a charity founded by a member of a European royal family, a multinational luxury tourism agency, and global luxury hotel chains, the kind of client base where discretion isn’t optional.
Prenessa works best with purpose-driven leaders willing to rethink their assumptions about marketing. Her guiding principle is simple: she wants her work to put more food on more tables, built on integrity, discipline and respect.
