Grant Webster is the founder of Fractionation and an experienced fractional CEO and COO who has spent more than two decades operating, scaling and leading businesses across retail, ecommerce, FMCG and technology.
His career includes being a founding executive at Takealot, alongside senior leadership roles at Toy Kingdom, weFix and Van Schaik. He has also worked across the Massmart business at both store and head-office level, giving him experience from frontline operations through to large-scale corporate environments. He has worked through rapid growth, transformation, turnarounds, acquisitions and new-market launches, as well as the leadership challenges that come with building businesses at scale.
That operating experience is central to how Grant approaches fractional leadership. He works inside businesses, not from the sidelines, taking ownership of outcomes and helping founders and leadership teams bring greater clarity, discipline and execution to periods of growth, transition or complexity. His focus spans operational excellence, strategic planning, leadership, governance and the practical work required to turn strategy into results.
Grant’s perspective is also shaped by his involvement in international and local leadership communities, including Fractionals United, the Fractionals SA community, Civitas, the COO Forum and Suits & Sneakers. His governance and board perspective has been further developed through his engagement with the Sirdar Group, an international authority on high-performance boards.
